Construction halted in Miami after six employees were hurt

MIAMI — Construction has been halted on a 57-floor property where six workers were injured by rebar that fell from a crane in Miami. The steel impaled two workers and injured four others on Wednesday. The city's building director says a stop-work order was issued Thursday until concerns can be addressed. Construction officials say the workers were “alert and conscious” at the hospital. The building director says his office needs three reports before construction can resume at the site in Brickell. The construction company said in a statement they've already completed two reports and are awaiting an Occupational Safety and Health Administration report.
