Grizzlies killed in attacks on 2 bow hunters in Wyoming

CODY, Wyo. (AP) — One hunter was injured and another unhurt by grizzly bears in two separate attacks in Wyoming. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says neither bear survived the encounters but the department isn't saying how the bears died. The department says in a statement Monday it is helping the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service investigate. One bow hunter injured Thursday in the Thorofare region southeast of Yellowstone National Park was flown to a hospital with unspecified injuries. A grizzly charged another bow hunter Saturday on Rattlesnake Mountain west of Cody. Grizzlies in the Yellowstone region are protected as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.
