On this St. Patrick’s Day, the Bill Bunkley Show moved beyond green rivers and parades to honor the true story of St. Patrick—a kidnapped teenager who became a priest with a lifelong passion for protecting vulnerable children. In a powerful, faith-filled broadcast, Bill dedicated the program to both St. Patrick’s legacy and the memory of his late mother, who instilled in him a love for the impoverished. Joined by Tom Lewis of Cross International, the show rallied listeners to sponsor severely malnourished and orphaned children in Malawi, Zambia, and Uganda. With just $62 per child providing food, clean water, medical care, trauma counseling, Christian education, and a Bible for a full year, Central Florida listeners responded heroically—surpassing the minimum goal of 322 children and going beyond to rescue even more. A moving celebration of hope, transformation, and living out Christ’s call to the least of these.
