Today on Ask the Doctor, Dr. Michael Lange and Dr. Susan Summerton explored one of the most important topics in health and longevity: chronic inflammation—and what we can do to help control it naturally.

Acute inflammation is a necessary part of healing. However, when inflammation becomes persistent, it can contribute to numerous conditions affecting the eyes, joints, cardiovascular system, brain and the entire body. Dr. Lange explained how an anti-inflammatory eating plan—especially the Lange Survival Diet—may help reduce the dietary factors that drive chronic inflammation.

The doctors also discussed several nutritional compounds that work through complementary inflammatory pathways:

• Re-esterified triglyceride omega-3 fish oil: Learn how Fortifeye Super Omega® and Super Omega-3 Max® support a healthier inflammatory response, cardiovascular health, brain function and ocular health. The doctors explained omega-3 index testing, the balance between series-2 and series-3 prostaglandins, and how EPA and DHA serve as precursors to specialized pro-resolving mediators such as resolvins and protectins.

• Next Gen Curcumin® fueled by Curcugen®: Many conventional curcumin products have limited absorption. Curcugen is a food-grade turmeric oleoresin designed for enhanced bioavailability and broad activity across multiple inflammatory signaling pathways.

• Black Currant Seed Oil with GLA: Fortifeye Black Currant/GLA provides 140 mg of GLA. GLA can be converted into DGLA, which supports the production of series-1 prostaglandins involved in maintaining a balanced inflammatory response. Dietary sources include black currant seed oil, borage oil and evening primrose oil—foods and oils many people rarely consume.

• Fortifeye Rejuvenate®: This advanced formula contains Morikol® marine collagen tripeptides, a readily absorbed form of collagen that supports the skin, hair, nails, ligaments and joints. It also contains premium German-sourced hyaluronic acid to support joint lubrication, mobility and comfort.

Dr. Lange and Dr. Summerton also highlighted Fortifeye Omega Relief Extreme®, which combines Fortifeye Super Omega®, Next Gen Curcumin® and Black Currant/GLA to support multiple pathways associated with inflammation, joint comfort and whole-body wellness. Dr Lange also discussed Fortifeye Complete Advanced Nutrtion multivitamin / eye vitamin. He claims to have changed this formulation 17 times in the last 20 years and there isn't anything quite like it on the market. He also promoted an omega 3 website called www.healthbenefitsofomega3.com

The doctors answered many excellent listener calls, making this another informative and engaging episode of Ask the Doctor.
